It is our priority at Izmir SEV to raise children with the capability of critical and creative thinking, and become productive individuals who are keen on doing research. Our school environment provides our students the required medium which fosters cognitive, sensory and psychomotor skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, reading and comprehension, using creativity, and doing research.

At SEV schools, science fairs and art festivals are organised alternatively, every two years, in a rotating system among the three SEV schools. These fairs and festivals give students the opportunity to share their year-long studies through presentations and/or products with other SEV school students, parents and teachers, make them feel proud of themselves, and enable them to make transfers of knowledge.

Science fairs aim at improving the students’ scientific behaviour and manners, developing their research skills, and provide the first steps to scientific research studies.
