“A door to knowledge”

The SEV educational philosophy states that true scholarship is recognizing how to obtain knowledge for oneself. To assist the students in reaching this goal, our school provides the best equipped and professionally staffed school libraries in the Izmir region.

Our Libraries are not a place the students visit once or twice a year but a place where the classes participate in intensive reading programs, acquire effective note-taking techniques, learn to research using the Internet and the school’s online search and data bases, and where they receive training in the use of library services and facilities with the assistance of the staff and librarians.

The two separate libraries are utilized for the Preschool through Fifth Grades and for the Sixth through Eighth Grades. Library hours for each class are scheduled in advance by the teachers, and new titles and resources are continuously added to satisfy both the teachers and the students.
