Philosophy
 

We believe that strength and integrity are essential character traits and inspire leadership by promoting the principles and revolutions of Ataturk. We believe that all students can attain their individual excellence. We believe that each child is unique and can improve with current, responsive, and relevant instruction. We believe that by equipping students with the right skill sets, we prepare them for a dynamic future which presents endless possibilities. Recognizing the need for unity among communities, we teach toward local and global awareness.

Leadership:
We reflect the principles and revolutions of Ataturk within the school culture and provide opportunities for students and teachers to develop their own leadership skills, both in the classroom and the larger community. We invest in innovative teaching strategies that promote collaboration, creativity, and other 21st Century skills. We encourage and support student leadership, achievement, and ethical behaviour.

High Standards:
We use data driven instruction to continuously improve each student’s individual  achievement by focusing on literacy and numeracy outcomes and processes.
We foster creativity and problem solving skills through a diverse range of academic and extracurricular programming designed to prepare students to be global citizens. We prepare students to pursue a variety of avenues to success, including higher education. 
 
Love for oneself, for each other, and for the environment by becoming local minded global citizens
Social Responsibility:
We embrace interculturalism as a means of becoming a global citizen and adopting an open-mindedness about different ideas and beliefs. We provide opportunities for students to develop social sensitivity and values through service learning, both in the local and larger communities. We use a variety of means of communication to increase parent and community engagement, seeking continuous feedback from all stakeholders. We prioritize environmental stewardship, making it visible within the curriculum and school environment.

Encouraging participation in the student council to model the democratic process and invest students in learning and the school culture
Providing opportunities for student input both horizontally and vertically throughout the school culture
Providing teachers opportunities to attend Professional Development and in-service trainings

Embedding new technology into the learning process
Using instructional strategies that encourage creativity, collaboration, and other 21st Century skills
Facilitating extra-curricular activities that provide students with an opportunity to integrate skills and synthesize knowledge

Providing a values education program
Supporting student achievement through identifying and responding to academic, social and emotional needs
Running a safe schools program
Recognizing individuals and groups within the school for their academic and extracurricular achievements

Tracking and analyzing learning outcomes for all students 
Using qualitative and quantitative assessments to identify and respond to student needs
Routinely assessing and analyzing student achievement of curriculum standards

6. We foster creativity and problem solving skills through a diverse range of academic and extracurricular programming designed to prepare students to be global citizens. 
Provide a rigorous language program which will enable students to express and share ideas and collaborate with peers around the world
Present students with a rich variety of club options, which foster a plethora of skills and help them discover their passion and talent
 
7. We prepare students to pursue a variety of avenues to success, including higher education. 
Equip students with the knowledge and skills set that will enable them to be successful in higher  educational institutions

9. We provide opportunities for students to develop social sensitivity and integrity through service learning, both in the local and larger communities.
Conducting social service projects that raise funds for a social need in our community
Raising awareness at an early age onward that we have to be caring and compassionate to all living things
 
10. We use a variety of means of communication to increase parent engagement, seeking continuous feedback from all stakeholders within the community. 
To be in a continuous cycle of evaluation both internally and externally
Create mediums where all stakeholders can have a saying in and give feedback about various aspects of school life and conduct surveys to collect data 
 
11. We prioritize environmental stewardship, making it visible within the curriculum and school environment. 
Maintain a Green Flag which is a confirmation of our dedication to environmental protection
Analyzing environmental problems, causes and solutions through school-wide, local, national and international projects, clubs, committees, subject - specific and interdisciplinary studies
