The main aim of the department is to equip students with up-to-date knowledge about computer and other information technologies, required for K-8 students.

 

As the students move through the grades, they learn to use keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet, multimedia presentation, desktop publishing and graphic programs.The teaching of computer in SEV is based upon applied and practical methods in split groups which mean each student having a computer to work on.

The computer department works very closely with other departments and has a big role in applying computer assisted learning, team-teaching and inter-disciplinary projects.

SEV İzmir has got four computer laboratories. All the computers are connected to the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
