At our school, we view the learning environment not merely as an educational institution, but as a living space for our students. Within the scope of our WISE project, we implement initiatives aimed at supporting students’ social-emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being within this space.
As part of the Peer Kindness Project, we focused on the concept of kindness this week. Throughout the week, we carried out activities on this theme during lessons and held an assembly with active participation from our students.
To further support students’ social-emotional development, we also completed the first seminar session of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program for our primary school and kindergarten parents. Guided by Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Aylin Özbek, the session covered both theoretical insights and practical strategies on effective communication with children, promoting positive behaviors, constructively managing challenging situations, and coping with daily stress.
This program, consisting of three sessions, aims to gradually strengthen parenting skills. We firmly believe in the value of learning and growing together, and we look forward to sharing these insights with more of our parents in the upcoming sessions.
