194 Zoe Salvemini The Personalıty Potıon ‘The Personality Potion’ was a fun book to read and analyze because it focuses on personality traits and bullying. It touches upon the personality trait that many students sometimes lack: confidence. It also introduces students to a common school conflict: the playground bully. Students were able to form personal connections with the text and completed this unit with their own personal potion creations. We learned personality adjectives and how to describe someone’s personality with them. As we read the book ‘The Personality Potion’, we described the personality of the characters in the book. We learned new vocabulary, learned how to explain quotations from the book and we finally created our own magic personality potions, which was a lot of fun. Maya BAKİOĞLU My potion is a half demon, half angel. My demon part makes you so evil that you can kill your pet or friends. It makes you rude and you can yell at your teacher. It makes you selfish that you can say “No” to a little puppy or a kitten. The angel part makes you friendly and you can give everything to your friends. It also makes you popular and everyone loves you. You can be honest and you can tell the truth to everyone. I love this potion because it’s half demon half angel.
